Western Observatory

This project was to 3D model a section of a room based on a specific style and theme. The chosen theme for the class was observatory and the singled out style for me was western. This project required research of the style and color scheme which helps set a tone for the task at hand.

Once those were established it was for us to decide the arrangement of the room and furniture. That was the easy part, then came the tedious and annoying areas of this project, texture UV mapping and lighting. Both are not too complex but having to figure out sometimes where textures should be left with having seams {non cohesive} and where the perfect texture line ups were as well as waiting for renders after a lighting change just ate a lot of time. All in all for my first true experience in computer generated 3D modeling, this was a great stepping stone to get me familiar with the software’s tools.
